Fifth graders are learning about the various components of artist statements and developing their own to be paired with their first project! Here are some of the driving questions that we asked ourselves to get us started...
For the past several weeks Fifth grade has been learning about value within the context of painting. We have explored mixing various shades of grey paint, and traveled outside the classroom to paint trees from observation. Stay tuned to see what creations we come up with!!!
For the first nine weeks in art, fifth graders will be focusing on value and color. They are in the process of learning how to create the secondary and intermediate colors on the color wheel using the primary colors. Color mixing is always a fun and exciting process, as it leads to many new discoveries! Just a reminder.... send your child to art in clothes that they feel comfortable painting in!
