Kindergarteners are learning about lines, shapes and the primary and secondary colors! They studied the artwork of Wassily Kandinsky and created their own masterpieces!

In Kindergarten we have been learning about HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL lines. We created paintings in the style of painter Piet Mondrian, and used the PRIMARY COLORS to complete our artwork! Kindergarteners have been expanding their vocabularies in art! They have learned how to identify and draw HORIZONTAL and VERTICAL lines. We looked at the work of Piet Mondrian and created paintings that incorporated primary colors.
Kindergarteners have been hard at work discovering ways to create lines and shapes using paint! They have created their own unique line painting, inspired by the work of painter Wassily Kandinsky, using black tempera paint. The backgrounds of their paintings were completed using primary and secondary colors. Come see these works of art in the halllways!
